Paul Hayden photoPaul’s sales and sales training career spans more than three decades. He started out as a sales negotiator with Allied Dunbar, moving over to become a Training Consultant for them before setting up his own independent sales development consultancy some twenty years ago. Since then he has designed and delivered numerous open and bespoke in-company programmes for a wide range of clients and sectors. As well as traditional training methods, he uses virtual learning, accelerated learning, coaching, forum theatre, and simulations with both actors and computers.

Paul has now delivered training around the world (eg, America, Brazil, China, Dubai, Egypt, France, India, Japan, Latvia, Malaysia, Pakistan, Poland, Russia, Switzerland, Turkey, Vietnam) for a range of clients such as HSBC, Aon, CII, AXA, Roche, Novartis, Kuehne and Nagel, Cryoservice, Accsys, IBM, Audiosoft, Tarmac, Keymed, Stryker, Booker, Ciba, British Gas, Oxford University Press, Samsung, Volvo, Nissan, Sainsbury, Tesco, London Business School, Westland Horticulture, Sodexo, O2, Telefonica, T-Mobile, etc, etc. He has huge experience of a range of sectors, including finance, pharmaceutical, logistics, chemicals, IT, construction, medical, wholesale, energy, publishing, electronics, automotive, retail, education, telecoms.

Paul also runs sales simulations and mystery shopping exercises and delivers one-to-one coaching for sales professionals. He is also the author of The Learner’s Pocketbook and The Personal Success Pocketbook both published by Management Pocketbooks (which have sold over 50,000 copies each in ten different languages) and of numerous trade articles for The Institute of Sales and Marketing Management (of which he is a Fellow).
