New programme – commercial awareness in the public sector

Commercial awareness training for the public sector

It’s a whole new ball game in the public sector now. Today the public sector has been opened up as a commercial market in which other public sector organisations complete with each other alongside private sector companies for contracts. The need for key public sector staff to have commercial skills is now crucial to compete successfully in this new marketplace. Moreover many public sector organisations are now being tasked with generating additional income and being commercially astute is a vital part to their success.

With this in mind we have launched a brand new in-house programme Commercial awareness in the public sector aimed at addressing commercial skills shortfall with public sector staff.

Who should attend?

It’s an ideal programme for anyone already working in, or looking to move into these sorts of commercially led roles, including:

  • Heads of service required to develop a commercial strategy
  • Service managers and others required to implement a commercial strategy
  • Anyone in a public (or third sector) service environment who is now required to think more commercially
